This isn't a bug but it is pointing out a massive gap in functionality why can't we script directly to sub options? All of them, I might want to have a script to delete a track, re analyse it, etc etc

It should just follow on
song_options file_operations delete
song_options file_operations move_to "C\:where_ever"
song_options remove_from_VF

etc

+1

I too want an opportunity to delete tracks by pressing a scripted button.

Good, so I'm not alone, It shouldn't be just what atomix thinks it should be, everything should be accessible via script and therefore accessible from a single press of a button on custom made skin, or custom button.
Another example that should be scriptable
' POI_action "script inserted here" '
Just so you can prepare scripts (that can be used on any track at any time) before performing, and do stuff like this on a single button press
' goto +8 & POI_action "effect_active 'beatgrid' 1" & goto +8 & POI_action "effect_active 'beatgrid' 0" & goto -16 '
VoilĂ ! Much more on the flyness
The scope of some options via script maybe questionable but with this many different users a use will be found. Having redundant script options is a much better place to be than not having an option.
The goal should be use the mouse to turn VDJ on, then (if you want) forget the mouse exists.
Go on atomix, if you want to get it right, this needs to be done.
