Topic: Automix editor not working properly from second time onwards.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I start VDJ8 and go to AutoMix editor, it works fine. But then I close AutoMix editor with the X and reopen it then it is behaving very strange: There is only a stop button and a play from beginning button, no play button. When I click on the wavevorm and it starts playing, but the green vertical line is not moving and the time counter does not change. From the second time onwards it also does not find the output for the headhpones anymore in the automix editor, but it is not reporting this as a problem.

After restarting VDJ8 the Automix editor works once, but fails again from second time onwards. So I am unable to use the Automix Editor feature. Please help.

More info:
Reinstalling VDJ 8 does not help. Factory reset also does not resolve the problem.
I am using version install_virtualdj_pc_v8.0.1878.msi, running on Windows8.
The problem also occurs when all controllers and mappers are disabled.

Still the same problem in the latest build. When will the bug be resolved?

Should be fixed by now :)

(NOTE: we fix and update VirtualDJ 8 daily, so most of the bugs in this forum are probably already obsolete and fixed by the time you read this)

I sometimes don't get it with Atomix. There are people on this forum who are beta testing the software in their own time and identifying potential issues.

It seems the company can't even be arsed with the courtesy of replying.

Finally found time to reproduce this. And I can confirm it.

But it seems, that the stop/play button keeps the last state it was.
If it was a stop button and you close the automix editor with X, it is a stop button when opening the editor again.
If it was a playbutton, it stays a play button.

The rest behaves exactly the same as you described above.

I am also getting problem with Automix and have a separate thread open. Although I have reported the issues with Automix to Atomix, I don't know how long it will take to fix or even if they are going to fix as priority.

Can someone with decision power at Atomix give higher priority to Ticket 228836 ?
