Topic: Dump Effect & loop roll Glitch

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey guys, I've mapped the "D" key on the keyboard to trigger a dump effect , I've mapped it as such "down ? dump : dump". This should trigger the dump effect while the key is pressed, and the track should resume playing as per normal when the key is released. This works fine most of the time, but occasionally it glitches out and the track keeps playing in reverse. Even if I stop the track and load another song onto the deck, it plays it in reverse and the only way to rectify it is to restart VDJ.

Similarly, I've mapped keys 1-5 as loop roll buttons of various lengths. It works fine most of the time, but occasionally the loop remains active for a couple of seconds after I've released the key.

Running on a macbook pro mid 2010 model. 2.4GHz i5 processor, 4gb ram, OSX 10.9.2

I don't know if it is a good idea to map such a key with the "down" action.
I could imagine that the "D" key will bounce when you hold it (you know, repeatedly firing the action resulting in something like this dddddddddddddddddd)

Have you tried it with another key like CTRL?

The correct action for mapping momentary dump is: dump while_pressed
