Topic: EQ kill buttons don't kill

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

In my opinion the EQ kill buttons should do as described - kill the signal - regardless of whether the EQ knobs are set to default or kill.

The default/kill choice should only apply to the EQ knobs. The kill buttons should always kill.

Same issue with the EQ crossfaders. Unless the EQ option is set to kill, the crossfaders don't actually crossfade - some frequencies from the opposite deck are still audible.

The description (under options/config) of how the EQ works suggests that rather than default/kill affecting the amount of dB cut for each band, it merely narrows the Q (width) of the band. IMO this is not the standard behaviour. Default EQ should have a boost/cut of maybe +/- 6dB, whereas in kill mode, the cut should be infinite (+6/-∞). The Q shouldn't be affected.

A infinite cut would eat up a lot of processing, at least -32dB is what I've seen of eq kills
