If VirtualDJ is crashing as soon as you try to open the software or open the config panel, the reason is most probably because you installed a competitor DJ software called Torq from the company Avid.
This software is known to install some buggy drivers on your system, that will cause most other music software to crash.
Just uninstall Torq, and your computer will be stable again and all music software, including VirtualDJ, will work again.
Now I have a Question for this Topic.
Wath is when I use Avid Pro Tool?
It installs Drivers too.
Can this Crash Virtual DJ also??

I would think nobody use both programms on the same machne cause Pro Tools is nothing i would install on my gig machine.

The message which you quoted only mentions Torq. It does not state that all Avid software causes problems.
I suggest that no one here uses Pro Tools, because we are mainly only DJS not producers.
The only way to know is to install it and test it yourself. If it causes problems, uninstall it.
