Topic: EXTREME cpu spikes

im running a asus pc with 6 gigs of ram and im getting EXTREME cpu spikes. im even running the pc optimizer im getting everything from 18% to 100% and i dot even have any songs on the decks. with 7.4 i wouldnt go past 40% if that. any way i can stabilize this??

Have you tried the latency checker? I've got a 2GB, 2*1.8GHz machine and I don't readings like that unless I try load 2 decks at once.
There must be other stuff running eating up processor time.

Note that 'System' is the cpu usage of the entire system, not just virtual dj.
So you should probably check task manager as well to see if there are no other processes doing things while this is happening.

Also, are there any specific problems you have because of this (stuttering, slowness, crashing etc...) ?

I get high cpu spikes when I connect the CDJs in HID/MIDI mode, never happened on the first few releases but now my system which is powerful just overheats and shutdown... I installed the correct drivers from pioneer
