This might just be specific to me and how I sort my db and the fact I don't have a scroll wheel but some aspects of the idea should work for the majority
Database management is always going to be a pain and in truth things have got better this past Version but there is more pain that can be avoided
Here is how I think it could be better with a browser set up, exclusively for db management

The buttons on the red bar are as follows
1 Move Tree X selected folders into Tree Y folder
2 Move File X selected files into Tree Y folder
3 Move File X selected files up one folder
4 Switch X & Y
5 Undo
To VDJ users: Would this work for you, and would you think it an improvement?
