I have recorded in the past with vdj7 & mc-6000 no problems going into advance settings and setting it up but with vdj8 can't fig it out PLEASE HELP would love to record mic live and my mixes THX. I have been thru the Forum read the manual, If someone has the settings and can share.....that would be awesome!

Thanks JoeyKJ with your help and some of my own here is the solution for PC
settings on the back of 6000
set to PC not Mac
Mixer Mode = INT Mix
Output Source = Rec Out/ Mic
ENJOY!

The only problem I see is, where is your headphone channel if you need to listen to preview any tracks?

I've used to mix Mp3s & Mp4s but still cant rec CLEAN MIC when I REC just Me talking MIC ONLY alot of background noise
