Drag n drop only works from VirtualDJ Browser for Mac OSX at the moment. So if you want to load a track from your External HardDrive, you will need to open it with VirtualDj Browser.
This is already reported and possibly fixed in a future update
As for operating VirtualDJ 8 in both PC and Mac, simply have the software installed on both computers and login to which ever you wish to use. Once you login to one of them you will be logged out from the other one.
In case you need to go to a gig with one of your computers, simply login at home, close VirtualDj and you re ready. In this particular computer, it will not ask you again to login unless your computer gets connected to the Internet and in the meantime you have logged in to the other one.
