the current version 1828.680 seem to be running good for me so how to turn off auto update . thanks in advance

thank u sir. i will turn update back on at sum point. this version is working for me so i might use it at next gig on fathers day . i will practice w/this version that is running smooth and then use live at gig. Don't wanna chance that a update could start a new issue. thanks Rob roy

I personally would keep update active. Just make a copy of the VDJ exe file and rename it to "VirtualDJ 8.1828.exe" or whatever. If the update makes a problem just start the other exe file to run the older version ;-)
