I been testing, running V8 since the day it came out!
Done gigs with purely Audio / milkdrop and effects & mostly up to date videos
all working PERFECTLY........
But when I try to use it for Karaoke (CDG) / MPEG videos / VOB's it's a different
kettle of fish, It's glitchy, jumpy and CDG's Karaoke files words run very much
delayed / slowly / out of sync with the song.....!!!!!
Running a DELL XPS L1701X i5 Quad Core 2.53Ghz 1gb Nvidia Card updated
to latest drivers, It's driving me absolutely MAD!
So frustrating as everything runs perfectly in V7 in time all the time.
So anyone else having big VIDEO issues or could shed any light on what to
do to sort this.......!
Thanks

performance > Ultralatency
Test yes / no to see if you have lipsynch issues.
Performance> SongLoadPriority
Test to indle / low / normal to see if you have any difference
Video>VideoMicrofames - Set it to off (not smart / always). Most TV Screens / videoprojectors already have build in a relative technology, you don't need this

Believe it or not......., I have it running Superb!!!!
Problem was a dodgy HDMI cable, Which was pushing heat or something back thru the machine / causing HIGH CPU and slow karaoke, generally glitchy, slow etc........visuals all video related.
Still need to work out how to minimize (So I can drag & drop into sampler etc) As I get the odd HUGE screen now and then and have to CRASH and re-start. Think this is because I have forced the 1GB card across in the video (second output) 0 to 1

Yes, it is strongly recommended to have the forceFullScreen option at 0.
It is only there for debugging or when you have serious problems without it.

When I do this it doesn't switch to the 1GB Nvidia Graphics Card ? It stays on the Intel 3000 HD Card, Thus lowering the FPS , Quality and runs the Video's, Karaoke very glitchy
this is the problem I've been having from the START!
If I don't force the VIDEO to this...... It runs terrible.... So to get it to work correctly I don't see any other OPTION unless we get a FIX for it ?
It's all to do with the way the Extended Screen is selected ? I have said this also from the START.........
Can we not go back to the way we selected it in V7 as it worked all the time...... ?

What else can I do apart from VideoForceFullscreen = 1
I see no other option, Its the only way to get it fully running on the 1GB Card on Extended Screen
Nobody's saying or commenting on this ??????
That's why we need to go back to the way it was selected in V7........" Cause this way is not working !!!!

Hey mate, night on the beer and reading the thread, delete the one that is causing you problems if you don't really use it, if no joy give me a shout on skype, I'll try and help if that's any good.

I had a similar laptop (the xps15) and it was working fine without any changes. It should use the NVidia as soon as an external display is connected.
You could try to open the Nvidia control panel before starting VDJ. There you have an option 'Preferred graphics processor'.
It should be on Auto-select, but you could give both options a try ('Integrated graphics' or 'High performance NVIDIA processor') and see which one works best for you.

It's set on the High Performance Card as Default, But there is a huge difference
when running on VideoFullForce between '0' & '1'
'0' runs very glitchy on Video's and lags on the words in Karaoke
'1' runs super smooth slightly more increase on the fan in the laptop
But you keep mentioning not to run in '1' but that's the only way it will run,
I still maintain it's the way it's selecting the Extended Screen in V8,
You don't get this trouble in V7 or The video engine is not dealing with things
the same way ?
