Topic: Not A bug, 'RECORD TO SAMPLE' mistake

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey, is there anyway to convert this 'Recorded may31.vdjsample' that i recorded by mistake to the sample, instead of recording to file?

I don't think there is an easy way to do this i'm afraid. Only Roys suggestion.

The samples are encoded in a way that they can only be used with Virtual DJ. So you can't just change the extension and hope it will work.

Like I said, you can't just rename it because VDJ adds a bit of data to the start of the file.

If you remove that header data, so the file starts where the word Ogg is, then it will play.

You need to edit the file (use Notepad ++ for example). Look for the first use of the word Ogg, and remove everything before that.

thanks groovindj it worked
