Search results for All of a sudden VDJ8 stopped logging played songs into history. Not even a line through it to show it was played. Any ideas?

I have just tested and the history is still being created in VDJ 8 (windows).

Please remember that the history file will only be populated when the track as played for more than 45seconds.
If you still have a problem then please provide some more information.

Virtual DJ 8 only uses the History folder - i assume you are running version 8?

Have you uninstalled the software for any reason?

I have not uninstalled the software. Looks like the path is incorrect.

Should I uninstall and do a clean install?

What do you mean the path is incorrect?

Are you aware that VirtualDJ 7 uses the Tracklisting folder and VirtualDJ 8 uses the new History folder?

I think I deleted history from folders list and then when I went to root elements it was still checked so I unchecked it and rechecked it and the folders reappeared in the folders list but never got populated since

I was not aware of that. Thank you for sharing that

If you have deleted the contents of the history folder then you might be stuffed.

If you are running v8 then if you didn't delete the track listing folder for v7 then you may be able to salvage something.

Also this timing can be adjusted via the historyDelay config setting.

Not worried about past history, I would just like to get it working correctly now

I set timing from 10 to 45 seconds with same results. nothing getting saved to history file

So if you play a song now - for 45 seconds.

If you close the History folder and then re-open, there is nothing there.
