Topic: Background process threads

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have on several occasions started a background processing thread and wished I could stop it.

Examples:
Batch scan BPM, a potentially long running process.
Download a song from content unlimited and then found the connection speed adversely affected with no way of backing out and trying something else.

Could you please consider adding the functionality to terminate background thread?
