Hello,
I recently purchased two Denon DN-SC2000 controllers with the idea to use them along side my Denon CDJs and mixer but they came with no software. I already owned a Numark Mixtrack (bundled with "other" software). I have tried out Virtual DJ 7 "Free" and would like to buy a PRO INFINITY license (currently $299) for commercial use and all controllers. I tried to buy the Cue software direct from Numark to match my Mixtrack but I had no luck. Last year, I almost bought the boxed version of Virtual DJ from this website. Wish I had now :/
I am worried that I will have to use Virtual DJ 8 - it looks far too complex for my needs so I have made up my mind that I want to stick with version 7!!!
Could somebody please explain the process of registration , for example; once I buy - do I get a choice of download... v7 / v8 / Numark Cue etc.
Many thanks
Kev

With a purchase Pro Infinity (not the Subscription) you would have access to Pro 7.4.1 and Pro Infinity 8.
You will be able to download Pro 7.4.1 from your My Licenses section here
Version 8 will be available to download here
If you like you can install both on your machine at once. Use 7 professionally whilst you get used to 8 or just stick with 7 if that is your choice.
Worth remembering though that version 7 will likely not receive any further updates so you will probably want to switch to 8 at some point.

I'm planning to use VDJ for commercial use with my Denon DN-SC2900 & DN-X1600 hardware so I'm hoping to purchase a PRO INFINITY license this week. I have decided to go with version 7.4.2 initially although a recent review in DJMAG has warmed me to the idea of using 8 in the future.
The software will be installed on a PC with no internet connection where I DJ. I have read on the VDJ WIKI that version 8 can be installed offline using a special license file sent by email. Will I be able to register version 7 offline?
I am able to install the software on a laptop with an internet connection (the machine I would use to purchase my license). This would also be my backup copy.
Many thanks

The first time you launch V8 you should have a internet connection to verify your licence.
When you use V8 on a gig with no internet, it should be all good.
Once a licence file is active it wont check or change without internet.
V7 still requires a serial. So you need no internet connection with V7 unless you want to use a service like audio plan/ content unlimited.

This is your PC that you'll be taking with you to the venue? If so, then just log in to/register VDJ 8 online at home first. Then (without logging out of VDJ 8) when you run it at the venue it will work by using the license that was downloaded at home.

Thanks for the replies.
The PC stays at the venue permanently but if I all need for version 7 is a serial then that's great! I won't be using audio plans or content unlimited.

OK but is that your PC? Who's going to be using the software?

My PC for my use only so I'm sure everything will be fine.

The price quoted on the site does not include VAT so that puts the purchase of a PRO INFINITY license outside my budget until after Christmas (being 2 weeks away). It's definitely happening as VDJ is next item on my to buy list!

I say, buy it now as a Christmas present to yourself, and stop feeding the wife and kids for a few days. They will understand. Food is highly overrated.

Another set back today. On final testing I've found that my Denon SC2900's have an issue with the jog wheel CD mode on VDJ 7.
