Topic: Virtual Folder Help

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am trying to put some virtual folders together, which contain tracks of various genres, Jazz, Blues, House etc.

So my filter for House would be, genre =house,
And as long as my tracks have their genres filled in, then this folder will get populated with my house music tracks. All good so far.

How do I get folders to contain "rock and roll" but not include "rock"
How do I get folders to contain genres that have 2 words in their title, "electro swing" for example.

Thanks.

My Rock & Roll filter folder works with this: genre equals "Rock & Roll"

That should also work for "electro swing" I'd think.

You've done it again. Thanks.

I thought I had tried that, but obviously not, I had tried (), /, -,_, but not " "

Thanks again.

Can I store my filter folders inside one folder called filter folders.

I won't use the filter folders all the time, so it would be good if I could hide them inside another folder so they don't take up screen space.

No, you can't nest actual filter folders at this time. It's been mentioned though, and requested.

For example it would be useful if you could have a filter folder called Rock, and below that further filter folders that divide the rock into years or genres.

You can put them inside virtual folders (red ones) though.
