Topic: Should I reinstall the released version of vdj 8, or carry on using the beta version.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have been running the beta version for a couple of weeks and it runs fine. But should I download and install the official release version. Is it different to the current beta version?
I ask this as, version 8 is not showing when I check my license, and when I try to download it, I get a message saying that I have to uninstall my current version.

I have only ever had version 8 beta installed on this computer.

The version you have installed will auto update (if you have not disabled the option and you have a net connection). There's no need to install the full download version again.

Initially version 8 was not listed under My Account/My licenses but now it is, although you can't download it from there.

This is because:
a) it autoupdates and b) there is now only one download for all VDJ versions, so it's on the download web page.

Well you're there too (only 6 mins before me) :-)

I think I hit the sack around midnight, and got up at 10ish, so I do sleep.

OK now I'm off to watch Rocket City Rednecks.
