In VDJ 7 I had a shortcut to add track from browser to sidelist and another to add to playlist. IE "A" playlist_add "X" sidelist add.
With version 8 I can get the add to playlist to work fine. Since VDJ 8 basically is using the automix
like the old playlist, I want to use a shortcut to add tracks to the automix. Can this be done and how please?

Use playlist_add to add to Automix

and

sidelist_add for sidelist

My bad, I forgot to mention.
I tried that. What happens is when I hit X key it scrolls to bottom of browser.
When I hit the A key it scrolls to the top of the browser.
I must be missing something.

Can you not assign them to some other key, (or custom button) rather than X and A?

Surely you need X and A when you're searching for tracks?

This is the way I have it set in version 7. Never had an issue with searching.
But I will give a try using other keys.

I just tried, and my browser doesn't do that.

I can press letters all day long and get no scrolling at all.

Tried with using different keys, same results.
Isn't everything from 7 supposed to be automatically set to version 8?
I am going to delete * and re install to see if that helps.

It's a config option - browsersearchbyfirstletter.

Mine's off.
