I installed the new version and found that my browser text is in weird text or a different language when I open VDJ8. This is in the browser sections.
Now under options, my language is English yet I'm still getting the error. I switched to another skin, instead of the default, still had the problem.
However, if I close Virtual DJ on that other non-default skin, and restart, I can see the language issues resolve. Text looks weird but its English.
But if I then go to setup and choose the default skin, I get the weird text/language issue again. Tried to close and open on the Default skin and still get the weird text. Bizarre.

just gotta start learning Chinese ;)
try log out, of vdj, then restart, at the login screen select language..
What language are you trying to use by the way? maybe its a broken xml
