Topic: Bug/behaviour change with automix 'fade (remove silence)' - 0s

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

In Virtual DJ 7 I used to setup automix with type "Fade (remove silence)" but an automix length of 0s. This very handily removed silence from beginning/end of songs but didn't try to fade between them, thus offering a useful 'gapless' playback if I wanted to stick several tunes on in the background.

In 8, setting an automix length of 0s with "Fade (remove silence)" still causes fades to happen between tracks. The cross fade is short (I guess a couple of seconds) but it is certainly not 0s. I was wondering if this is an intended change or possibly just a bug? I would certainly prefer the old style behaviour - or perhaps even a specific option like "Cut (remove silence)"?

Any thoughts/update on this?

When the mix is set to zero, it is a cut, not a face.

Adjust your FADE time higher and it will fade.

That's not what my problem is - I am setting 0s to get a cut, but it is still fading (when 0s should produce NO fade).
