When i open virtual dj 8 it asks if i want to update to a new build, i click yes and then i get a message that update failed ... this cycle keeps going until i say no to update. That is when i noticed that the process virtualdj8.exe is still active even if i close virtual dj.
So virtual dj will be closed but the process is still alive. If i end the process then virtual dj updates fine.
I just tried it again...Open VDJ-->Wait a few minutes-->Close VDJ-->Go to Processes and virtualdj8.exe is there.

I often have the same problem that the Virtual DJ background process keeps running and not allowing me to stop it and restart virtual dj again. Taskkill does not help. It always requires a reboot, which is not acceptable because it takes too much time, even with a fast computer.

Still unable to end the Virtual DJ process. Always requires a reboot. Not acceptable. Please handle with priority.
