Topic: Auto loops not working correctly

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Whenever I select an autoloop the loop doesn't start with a beat like it used to and the loop isn't seamless. I've checked the settings and smartloop is set to Yes, but I still can't get it to make a seamless loop?

Is your beatgrid correct for that track?

Yeah everything lines up on beat fine, the loop just seems to start EXACTLY where i start it not on the nearest beat like it used to

Smart loop is activated, still doesn't loop properly

I have the same issue, but I thought it was some option I did miss.
There's a lot of options...

I just want that a loop I saved plays automatically :
for example, I run my song at the beginning and if I enabled the option, when the song reaches the entry point of the selected loop, it is automatically activated and play this loop , is this possible?

You'll be wanting to use the POI Editor to add some saved loops or actions.

Use an action then.

If you can help, i wont say no :-)

My loops are seamless, but the loop startpoint doesn't "snap" to a beat. I do build-ups with loops all the time, now that's impossible.
If the loop start exactly on the beat and you use like "loop 50%" many times, it's still on the beat.
In VDJ8 it snap exactly where you pressed the loop button, if you miss then the build-up becomes a disaster.

Is there somthing to do to get loops "snap to nearest beat"?

Sorry, after som more checking I found the reason. The loop works exactly the same in v8 like in v7.
But there is some beatgrid-visualization differ between v7 and v8. Beatgrid in v8 seams to be a little ealier than v7 for same track tested.
I just have to practice I assume...

Hope these are things Atomix are working on with this beast. If the cbg plays a major part in loops then you must follow standard rules. A bar Begins at 1.1.1.00 Then the left side of the downbeat block must equal 1.1.1.00 also. These are rules that can never change. So trying to readjust the cbg other than obeying that rules of music will all wasys cause problems in loops.

If you set a hot_cue up where you want the loop to start.
Then open the POI Editor
Locate the hot_cue in the lost
The you can, change the name, chose whether it appears on waveforms and set an action to - see image.
