My vdj8 started freezing and restarting so i decided to delete everything including the 7 and all the folders and reinstall it. I reinstalled the 8 and tried it for 1 hr and it worked fine with the exception of skipping a few times. Later after work decided to reinstall the 7 but it says that it cant recognize skins or folders (something like that) and doesnt open.

I had exactly the same problem with VDJ7 not finding its default skins on startup (7 installed on C: , 8 on D:), was suggested by Dan to do a reinstall of 7, which did work, but then had the same error message but with 8 this time !
Lucky it's not on my gig pc !
Removed 7 and just playing with 8 at this time.

Oh no. That is my gig pc. I have 7 on my other but it stays at work i dint bring it home or use it for gigs. Oh well i guess i will just have to continue with 8 and hope it becomes stable soon
