My laptop is win 8.1, 32gb of ram, 2gb nvida video card, 128gb ssd for os&apps, 750gb hybrid for music.
I currently going back and forth between three controllers with VDJ 8: rmx2, ddj-sx, ns7ii.
this morning hooked the ddj-sx up and it recognized the controller no problem look some track and start playing with effects in 2 deck mode default skin for vdj8. It started ok but as I start change effect parameters that when I got the pop-up error xml plugin failure and the application freeze and stopped total lockup of the application.

This could be related to v8 trying to load a v7 effect.
They are not compatible.
Could you try to reproduce which effect causes the crash?
If you found it, move the effect out of the effects folder in Documents/VirutalDJ and place it
somewhere else.
