that's my first impression so far I think it's great that we have all these extra features but I would like some of the video plugins to work as well

They're on the way - a lot of the plugins were created by people outside of the dev team, and were as much in the dark as the rest of us, so it's just a matter of playing catchup. SBDJ aka Scott is currently recoding a load of his stuff, and hopefully there are some updated Pangolin plugins in the pipeline...
