In v7 I was able to map effects to pads and use 2 effects at the same time as well as control a slider of the last effect that was triggered on the mapped button/pad (not the sliders of 2 at the same time obviously) using a mapped nob on the controller ("effect_slider 3" for instance).
In v8 this is now broken because even though you can still map 2 effects at once using "effect 'effect name' active while pressed" the effect also needs to be selected on the deck and active for the slider to obey the mapped controller. One way I found to fix this was to use "effect_select 'effect name' & effect_active 'effect name' while_pressed". This meant that when you pressed the button/pad it forced selection of the effect so the controller nob would then control the slider.
However this breaks the use of two effects at the same time on the mapped buttons/pads because they are now fighting for effect selection on the deck.
Is there any way to get back get back slider control of the last triggered effect whilst still being able to use 2 effects at the same time?
