I have not found out how to turn off the VDJ logo on the video out window... anyone?

Yes go to settings tick advanced, expand video and scroll down you can remove Logo, resize logo, insert your own logo artwork, remove logo altogether.

starting to wonder if they shouldn't have released the manual to us first and forced us to read it before downloading and using it

Yes release the manual and pass a basic test, as a pre-requisite to being able to download. LOL

Hi,
About the logo...I made a png file with white background and view set to transparent and bgcolor also white.
I thought when selecting this image as logo the white bg would be transparent, but it isn't.
???

You don't need the white background. A PNG image with an alpha/transparent background.

I think it can't be done with the standard windows paintshop..
Done it with a online png creator..
