Topic: International characters issue [SOLVED]

Hello

It looks like there is an issue with International characters in song tags.
In my case, if a song has Æ, æ, Ø, ø, Å or å in it (special Danish characters), the letter is replaced by a strange graphics, and the song will not load

Can I do something to change this in the options?

Correction:
It only looks to be a problem when getting the song from a .m3u file
I've testet with the same .m3u file in VDJ7, and that works ok

All song containing æ, ø and å won't work in v8 - and the same .m3u-file works fine in virtual DJ v7

UTF 8 interpretation

is this windows or MAC

in windows standard CODE Page is Windows 1572 (ASCII) even if the letters are correct on the screen and not UTF8
m3u normaly is also ASCII

I had a similar issue last night using VDJ7. I was playing Arabic music and while typing into the search, I noticed that the keyboard layout had changed. I also had a crash guard message pop up, asking me to recover or reboot. I clicked on recovered, and song stopped (embarrassing). I finally rebooted and everything came back to normal. Today I tried to reproduce the same error, to no avail. I would really like to know what happened, or if I did something wrong.

update is out 1781 give it a try

BUILD 1781:
- fixed various crashes
- fixed scs.1d motorized controllers
- new config option keyDetection to choose between broad and electronic
- exclusiveAudioAccess (ex 'wasapiSharedMode') now off by default
- fixed timecode sometimes stopping when reaching the end of the disc
- improved ansi support for reading playlists
