I cannot get karaoke tracks to show in the browser window at all. I have found and selected to "show karaoke"

are they in ZIP files??

under advanced config - change 'showZipKaraoke' to yes

Do we have to download version 8 in order to read the new manual?
I am really curious and want to read and learn as much as I can prior to actually installing it.

At this moment in time, yes.

You can download and install it and you can still run V7 without any issues. Whilst you learn more about V8.

Yes, for now the manuals are only included in the installer. But the version 8 installation will not have any impact to yoru vrsion 7 software, so it will only take a couple of minutes to download and install.
