Topic: Hercules DJ 4Set behaves strangely

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello. I have connected a Hercules DJ 4Set to a quite old desktop PC (after installing the drivers). The PC does not have a sound card, but I don't think that matters since the controller has got its own card. The controller is connected to a stereo system. The first problem I notice is that when the 4Set Control Panel is set to WDM the output volume from iTunes and any other software is extremely loud. The second one is that when I open Virtual DJ it emits some strange random buzzing noises and I can't hear the music. The headphones output, instead, works fine. Can you help me please? Thank you.

First off, is this console known to be working properly on another (and potentially more recent) computer?

Do you have the same problems of you connect a simple pair of speakers (or even your headphones) to the main output instead of the stereo system?
