I would like to route the separate channels of VDJ (post fader) into reason (to use the superior effects on reason) and then route the output back to VDJ, and then out to my external mixer, or am I thinking about this the wrong way (I.E. there is a way to do this already)

Just use VST effects in VDJ; they can be superior to the ones in Reason.

If you want to use Rewire then you will need to purchase VDJ Pro.
