Topic: Ground and Contour buttons?

Hi im using mac os x 10.7.5 with vdj le and a gemini cntrl 7. i have 2 TS115A 15" Active 2-Way Speakers and i am always getting a staticy noise and sometimes even bad music quality..it sounds kind of grainy...i tried messing around with the ground and contour buttons on the back of the speakers but im not really sure what they do 100%. i even tried using mix out from one of my speakers to the other and the grainy noise went away but the static hum is still there and you can hear it.. if anyone has these speakers or anyone with more knowledge than me can help out its really needed. thankssssss
