In several of the posts on this forum about improving video playback performance in VDJ some users suggest the tips given in this YouTube video:

Near the end of that video he suggests deleting codecs in VDJ and re-adding them but with the Windows Media Player option selected. If doing this does not work how would you recover the default codecs? Would you have to re-install VDJ?
The idea sounds interesting to me since I sometimes get jittery video, especially when loading a clip while another is playing. Videos play fine in Windows Media Player so the idea of changing the codec intrigues me... I just don't want to make things worse and would like a way to return to the original settings if needed.
