Also, can I use my VMS4.1 in place of the mixer in this setup? Do I need time codes? Do I need a separate sound card? Do I need the virtual vinyl program?

Those are pictures to the exact beat maker I have. When I direct it to a specified Midlog channel, the sound from the korg works. It allows me to control my VMS4.1 and the korg beats through the speakers, however the recording from the korg doesn't work. Is there any way to do this too?
