I was wondering if Virtual DJ 8 will supports playing wav files etc. If not I hope you will consider this option. As I understand it mp3 files are not nearly as high quality as wav.

Thanks

VirtualDJ already supports playing standard 16-bit 44.1Khz (CD quality) .WAV files as well as many other formats.

It's only WAV files (And other formats) at bit rates higher than 16-bit or sample frequencies higher than 44.1Khz/48Khz that are not currently supported. These formats may be supported in a future version such as VirtualDJ v8, however unless you are playing to a room full of audiophiles on a very high-end sound system, such high rates aren't really necessary for live DJ performance.

There aren't any "WAV issues". Standard CD quality WAVs are supported. That's all you need.

The vast majority of music available to purchase since CDs were introduced in 1982 is in that format (16 bit 44.1kHz).

Many consumers now don't even listen at that quality!
