Hello my fellow DJ brothers and sisters! I landed a gig at a Mexican restaurant on Sat. nights where they shut down the food and turn into a mini "club" like atmosphere. It went well,.....except when it came to Tejano music. I have a little that I have picked up from here and there, but it's not my specialty (Hip Hop, Top 40 is more me.) Any way I say all this to ask: Can anyone please guide me to some good recent Tejano? Want to be a lil more prepared come next Sat. Thanks!

in terms of mexican music for the younger crowd, you should consider some of this type of music, called Tribal (3ball),
its really taken off recently...
Its a fusion of Duranguesnse, Quebradita, Cumbia, and who knows what else...

Tribal IS NOT and NEVER WILL BE Tejano. Its complete and utter crap. I'm normally an open-minded person, but ugh... Tejano, try Selena Y Los Dinos (of course), Michael Salgado, Texas Tornados, and Ram Herrera, just to name a few.
