would def be nice to have also put up some mappings of controllers

Reversing the crossfader is already possible by mapping it to:

param_invert & crossfader

Lots of custom mappings can be downloaded from http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/controllers.html or you can customise the built-in existing mappings via CONFIG -> Mappers.

you can also use crossfader_hamster
