This happened several times last night. I'd notice a picture had stayed on screen and the slideshow wasn't running anymore. I'd open the effects browser, and when I hit 'open' to choose a different pic the window would get stuck on top of everything else. The only thing I could do to fix this was to open the task manager, which would cause the window to close. After re-activating the video output everything would be fine until another picture would stall. Tried removing the stalled pics, but it would still happen on other random pics.
Help!!
Btw I'm using VDJ Pro 7 on an HP laptop, pentium dual-core 2.3ghz, 4 gigs ram Win7 home premium 64bit

The window getting stuck is probably because you have aero enabled. Disable it.

Silly me. :D Stuck windows seems to be fixed, and stalled images are much easier to deal with because of it.
