Hey, here's my list, if you think any of them would be good, put it here so the developers can see how much (if any) support there is for them.
1. Implement a vdj script for "wait". So then I could do something like, "video_transition & wait 4 beats & video_transition_select +1" so then the transition changes after the crossfade has happened.
Also, you could do an auto looping feature using the wait like "loop 4 & wait 8 beats & loop 2 & wait 4 beats & loop 1 & wait 2 beats and loop 0.5 & wait 2 beats & loop 0.25 & wait 1 beats & loop 0.125 & wait 0.5 beats & loop_off", you get the idea hopefully!
2. Be able to save loops as well as cue points. From what I've heard serato can do this but I don't know exactly how it's implemented. It would be great though, then I could spend time before the gig getting them perfect then release them at the gig. Especially good for old songs with uneven tempos so the auto loop won't work reliably.
3. "Slip mode". As on the CDJ 900. activate slip mode, do whatever like scratching or looping, then de-activate and the song continues from the point as if it had been just playing the whole time. Great for creating loop roll effects without a plugin ("activate slip mode & loop 0.0125 while_pressed") and for getting rid of swearing in songs with either a spinback or a severe break effect. There's loads of creative possibilites with this one.

oh yeah, and...
4. Nest virtual folders. I have so many that I often struggle to find the one I want quickly. Yes, I know it's been requested before, but it's a real good one!
5. Search virtual folder names. So, if I have a virtual folder called "Funky House" and then I put "funky house" into the search bar, the contents of that virtual folder should appear in the search results. You can already specify to search bpm, filepath, filename, album, etc so this would be a logical extension of that.
6. Sort virtual folders. Just a button to sort virtual folders alphabetically. This would be a good second choice option if nesting virtual folders isn't possible, but would also be useful in its own right. Then I can have "1950s" at the top of my list, then 1960s, and so on. It also means I could put them in any order I like by putting 01, 02, etc at the front of the name.
In fact, if I had to choose just one of these to have implemented, this would be it. It's so frustrating knowing that I've got a list of awesome songs, but I can't find it!

Seconded! Every idea a winner...

Of course! :D
For me, these are all things that would really make my life easier, but I guess that they'll only be prioritised by the dev team if they see that there's lots of people that would like the features I guess.
So thanks for commenting!

"6. Sort virtual folders. Just a button to sort virtual folders alphabetically."
Why ooooo why isnt it already there ?!
Or at the very least, permit a drag and drop with the mouse. "Move Up / Move Down" is a ridiculous anti ergonomic way to do this...
Anyway, maybe i'm getting too used to Google and Apple way to make intuitive and logical interfaces

+1
I would like those ideas too to be implemented In Virtual DJ.

Loop saving and Slip Mode would be at the top of my list.. but every point you made is spot on in my book!
