Topic: new plugin "boomerang" - Page: 1

I uploaded a new plugin yesterday. You can dowload it on the web site.

It is a little bit difficult to use it. Because like shaker beat, this one has 10 parameters.

I call it "boomerang", and I shall try to make a explanatory leaflet in English soon.

Wow! I like it! I like how it return song and start again without any problem. I'm sure i will use this effect the most. I like Shaker Beats too. Actually i like effects which got sliders to manual influence on effect.

No doubt that you do like this kind of effect.
Because it is a little bit difficult to use it even with the explanation in French.
But without explanation, I can not imagine!

This guy must be a genius... nice work on shaker beats!!! ...I'm still goofing around with the boomerang settings but man... you've got crazy programming skills ... you're like a C++ super hero or something. Thanks man.
 
In fact not really, dev team gave us great and easy stuff to make plugins. You can do everything you want. And only a little base in language C is usefull to write codes and knowledge about sound to understand how to play with sound samples.

To do a sound effect, the idea is:
you take a part of the song, you modify it (share left channel from right channel,fourier transform for frequency, move, delete,add samples in the part memorized) or use it (bpm, beats,samples_rate) then you send it back to vdj which plays the new stuff instead of the real part of the song

I agree with djcel.
I am not a computer scientist. DJCEL explained me everything in details: C++ and the structure of the code in plugin.

But I think DJCEL is a little bit optimistic. It is not easy to make complex plug. You have to work hard.
Nevertheless, it is so interresting!
 
Yes you're right but imagine if you should code all the sound process too. Trust me the hard work is already done. Remind you of the beginning with the first versions of atomixmp3 :-)
 
Cel may have a point, but I want to thank you for the awesome Bomerang plug! Works like a charm!

Thanks to ALL the programmers that continue to bring us great effects, skins and samples. Including people like Cel who help the programmers do it.
