I have all of my videos as .dv files. They seem to work fine in VirtualDJ. Any reason to NOT use .dv files? Besides storage issues, which to me isn't even really an issue with storage being so cheap....

I play .flv files - the quality can be hit or miss, but I like that they aren't biz files

we're using promo only as our dvd service, and just use the VDJ dvd ripper - straight to .vob for us.

I use MP4.. Always great quality for the most part and a decent file size as well.. Just my $0.02 :-)

MP4 all the way.

They are high quality and they support meta data (e.g., album covers, titles, BPM, key). (Ripped from DVD with DVD Decrypter, then encoded with Vidcoder (wrapper for Handbrake).

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't notice the age of this thread until now. :P
