Hello everyone. Yah i tried everything. New drivers. etc. Latest
Hardware, but no luck. Video still plays Choppy. Maybe my
H264 AVC Codec was a bad idea. But they play smooth in winamp
5.092 or Windows Media Player 10. Computer is up to date.
Shuttle XPC SN41G2
-Athlon XP 2400
-Moonlight H.264 Decoder&Streaming Pack 1.1.40916
-Nvidia Geforce 6600GT with 128MB ddr2 [71.89 dets.]
-512 MB of RAM.
-M-Audio Audiophile 2496 [Latest Drivers]
-nForce Chipset [Newest Drivers 5.10]
-XP Service Pack 2 already installed.
-Yes DirectX 9.0c
-Latest Patches applied to Windows Media Edition 2005.
No I'm not a computer geek. HEE HEE!. Oh! i ran GraphEdit and Codec runs
Perfect. Well any update to fix this Software would be cool. Thanks anyone
for reading this. I read the other Posts & I have done those things suggested.
I am convinced that this is Virtual DJ specific related; I still like program anyhow;
awesome Beat Mixing. Thanks!

I'm assuming you know there are differnt driver versions for media center vs regualr xp.
aslo I'm assuming using that card you have at least a 300 watt powersupply.
What type of videos are you trying to play?
The codec that comes with power dvd5 (cinipak) has been proven to work.
Also try checking the hardware acceration box in your video tab.
look for the 72.12 nvidia drivers (not offical) but great
proof it works with a 6600gt
by the way how does your system fair in aquamark or 3dmark?

Thankyou Cyderhouse for your promp reply. Yes to above, i took
your advise on trying 72.12 nvidia drivers. Seems the same. Still
choppy. I'm sure the video preview needs to be de-activated fully.
Must be 2 streams instead of 1. The H264 AVC Codec probably is less
efficient because of preview video. I used CyberLink PowerEncoder 1.0
to Encode my videos.

Like i said all other software plays great at Full Speed. Just this program has
slight slow motion type viewing. Is there a way to turn on Video Preview?
Thanks again; I'm still trying everything i can. I won't give up on this great
program that easily.

There is a known issue with 3.0 You can't preview the track that is on the output. It will cause the slow down you are talking about I'd try either hiding the video panel on the default skin or a skin with no preview.

Thanks Cyderhouse! I did Karaoke Tonight from
8:00 PM til 11:00. No Crashes! also i clicked
the preview # opposite that the output was play-
ing. It did seem better. You're right; but the video
still runs slightly choppy. Fading from Karaoke back &
forth to Videos. I'm confident that these issues are
being dealt with. A few people really admired the dissolve
from Karaoke to videos. So thanks for you're attention
to the Forum. Support is good here! Cyber out...

Hi [Cyber_2005]
I have the same program than you to encode videos.
Can you say me what option do you use to configure the video?
THANKS

Hello BarMonton. Just keep trying different settings.
Defaults work good. Also found a cool app to eliminate
some video stutter by syncing the video to the audio
clock. So i tried this and it helps somewhat. But Virtual
DJ 3.0 has been very tough to get smooth video. No
matter what you do. The address is here: http://reclock.free.fr/

Certain videos play well in vDJ even when using stutter efX, Looping down to a fraction of a beat and needle dropping in the track. In these cases, "play well" means as smooth as the original and no lip-sync problems. MPEG1 format encoded at 2400Kbps appears to work fine. Note that DVD quality is MPEG2 and around 6000Kbps.
