I would like to see a small software to update ver 5 and earlier skins to ver 6. We have so many beautifull skins but we cannot add new things (like blink) because they will not run.
Is there a chance from anyone to create such a software? I'm sure it's not easy but it's doable.

Jeremk developed a beta for this. It is part of the Skin Creator program.
Never used it before myself but it is there- as a beta though.

I think he said it is about 80% working (hence the beta status). I have used it and it works well, possibly better than that.
I just converted the skin, then used to see what did not work and had it sorted out pretty fast. Great tool, well worth the donation.
