Topic: Visible Cue points while using AutoMix feature

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Before I DJ, I sit down and review the music. marking cue 1 as start of song, cue 2 as vocal start, and cue 3 as end of song.

ie.

Cue1: This is where I need the music to start
Cue2: This is where I need to start the music if the guests have no patience
Cue3: This is where I should fade to the next song.

Something quiet interesting that I've noticed in Virtual DJ. When I use an AutoMix function to let it mix automatically, my cue points are not visible.

I'm looking at the software and sure, to a degree where having cue points visible would make it kinda difficult for the user to see where the automix will fade in & fade out.. big problema!!

I've also taken much time editing MixStation to create OverFlow with it's powerful Comps buttons and one button in particular provides a huge song position marker, making it quiet comfortable to see cue points and even compare them. So far, I load the upcoming track to the other deck and using the postion top/bottom, I move the fade in marker to where I need it to fade in.

Is there a better method, or perhaps a solution to this??
