Topic: Best DVD Quality Ripping Setting

Looking for a little expertise here. I have music videos on DVD and just purchased #1DVD Ripping Program. Works well however I was wondering if anyone can tell me the best quality and most economical (on hard disc space) setting to use. I am unfarmiliar with the DVD ripping and would love to get my music videos ripped to a hard drive. Thanks

I am using that and each video is abot 800 MB. Is this typical?

Be carefull, VDJ is not to watch movies !! It's better to watch video clip around 50Mo=50MB

xvid is pretty cool.. seems to half the size, are you ripping video by video, or the full dvd?

They are music videos. I am using #1 DVD ripper in MPEG4 mode. They don't look so hot on the cmoputer and are taking up a bunch of room. I am ripping video by video. Don't think they are encoding correctly. What does everyone else use. I have about three dozen MV's and I would love to get this going so I could put away the DVD player.... Thanks for the help. Here s what I tried to record to:

Video Format AVI DIVX MPEG4.
Audio Qualty - High
Subtitle - None
Dolby Surround - Yes
Fram Rate - 30
Aspect Ratio - Full 16/9 or 4/3 input

Computer specs are a p4 2.6 GHZ Pentium 512 RAM

I am ripping to mpeg 1 with each file being 80-100mb in size.
I may re rip my library if they ever get their shit together and decide what the standard is going to be.
No sence in ripping to an unsupported format.
