Hi all,
Following on from a discussion in another thread, I've had a need come up for me to do some basic lighting control via DMX in a couple of weeks time. I often use Freestyler when this need arises, although in the past I've used a custom plugin designed to control a specific set of fixtures.
I decided to open this up a little to allow a little more control and flexibility - ultimately I want to be able to map scenes to a MIDI controller (already in use by VDJ) and thus be able to trigger scenes. I'm also going to be experimenting with setting specific scenes against specific events - for example a particular song, BPM or even a particular point in a song.
At present the only interface supported is the Velleman DMX interface (it's the only one I have kicking around that has an open SDK) so I'm looking for people who also have this interface and would be interested in doing some testing for me.

I may look into using Fixture definitions and so on at a later date, but it complicates things quite a bit and I've not got long to get something usable ;)

Hi, I'd be more than happy to help/test anyway I can. I have the same interface and would love to have some control within VDJ.
I currently use any combination of DMX scanners, barrell effects, laser, strobe, smoke machine and led colour wash panels. (normally only 4-5 out of 17 available lights) there range from 2 channels up to 16 channels.

I have just built a velleman usb controller and would love to help you test your pluggin i have 8 colour burst 4 channel lights, a few scanners 2 data moons and a laser, and would love to run them under virtual dj. anyhow hope to hear from you soon
