I'm wanting to start mixing videos on my laptop and I'm not sure how to get around this recommendation:

Dual output ATI or nVidia video card with 1Gb of on-board memory (no integrated laptop videocard)

My laptop's specs are

CPU: Intel Core 2Duo 2 GHz,
Memory: 4GB RAM,
Video Card: Mobile Intel(R) 4Series Express Chipset Family (shared memory)

Is there an external video card available that would meet the recommendation? Or is there another solution I've not yet heard?

Anything you have to add would be helpful, thank you.

Trust me I've done video shows live with a laptop with wayy lower specs and shared video memory and it runs flawlessly.2gbs ram 1.6ghz dual core.

i think if you get your vids in the right format and size(aspect ratio), you'll be alright.
mpeg 4 works good for me.
