Topic: DJM-700 midi issue w/ 6.0.1

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

To whom it may concern:
I currently own a DJM-800 and DJM-700. The 800's midi works great for my video crossfading; however the VDJ 6.0.1 crashes with DJM-700. I found the DJM-700 to be a great mixer; but is more stable with VDJ 5.2.1. Is there a fix for 6.0.1 to work with DJM-700? Also, DJM-700 with the video_crossder is jumpy but workable with VDJ 5.2.1.

I have no problems with the video crossfading on my 700. However a couple of knobs on my 700 send extra messages (most notably the time knob so cant use that for scrolling anymore - not the crossfader though). Pioneer say some 700s had a midi fault and you need to get an upgrade from a Pioneer Service Centre to sort it. When I can afford to have my mixer away I'll try getting it fixed.

If you use miditrace or midi ox you should be able to see if the fader is sending the right messages.

Also check you dont have multiple actions assigned to the crossfader in your script.
