Wish I have MAC but hopefully soon. In PC yes you'll experience that CPU spikes with the new coloured track position and some jerking too but can be easily rectified so to run smooth like a silk by updating the graphics driver. Just maybe applicable in MAC to.

Bro, i have bought a macbook pro 13.3 mid-2012 model with the very high specs last month and it was just 2-weeks from me and i returned it:

2.9GHZ Intel i7 with crisp display
16GB memory
VRAM 512 - I'm frustrated when upgrading the RAM to 16GB the VRAM does not change (that is stupid part that apple lock the VRAM)
1TB Hard Drive
Intel HD4000 Graphic Card

Believe me... it crawls like a turtles very slow. Before you decide you google it firs and you will see and read in many forums that apple have harvested units from users RETURNING THE UNIT every now and then like mine i have returned it because the apple local dealer can't do anything on that. I prepare to use my old one 13.3 2.4GHZ with 4GB RAM & 256 VRAM which runs really fast than the new macbook pro 13.3 mid 2012 2.9GHZ i7.

Ang problema bro is hindi sapat yong ine-expect mong quality from what have paid for. Kung baga too expensive for that piece of crap. Yes the physical appearance is good, solid nice and beautiful but when you ask about the performance it is vey poor. Pinalitan ko ng Fujitsu with the same specs and it runs so fast that over thrown my old macbook.

yup,that why they called it LE Limited Edition so Limited access din he!he!he! Mag upgrade knlng ng PRO para unlimited access ka.

I'm afraid Pro Basic does NOT support MIDI/HID.

If I were you, I will just save and wait until you can afford to get the Pro-Version.

If you will get more serious in spinning, I guarantee you na mag-a-upgrade ka ng controller in the future.
Having the Pro-Version, you won't need to pay for any upgrade. So pretty much, kahit ano pa ang magginging bagong controller mo, either it will be natively supported... or it will be mappable.

Opinion ko lang to... Ikaw pa rin ang magde-decide down the line.

Mac!!! And I never looked back!

I started with Imac 21" (discovered too big for gigs - but I enjoyed the big screen)
Then got a MacbookPro 13" (too small)
Finally I got 2 MacbookPro 15" (the perfect ones for me)

*I was surprised with CesarCastillo's experience with the new 2012 Macs. Mine are from late 2008 to late 2011.
