I don't believe this is possible due to hardware limitations.
I could be wrong, but I don't think the mouse pad can relate in software the exact x/y coordinates of your finger.
Rather the hardware itself looks for differences in where your finger moves, and sends that to the system as a mouse movement.
Theoritically it is possible, but I believe you would need drivers written for the mouse pad.
Maybe something like a graphics tablet could work? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Vista-Pad-Graphics-Tablet-10-x-6-25_W0QQitemZ220428621971QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Input_Peripherals?hash=item335291d893&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
Tablets work by sending the mouse pointer to an absolutely x/y position, this is done in the driver.
Hope this helps =Þ
